Air Tahiti Nui Announces New Codeshare

New partnership provides access from more Australian cities to Tahiti Papeete, Tahiti.

(05 June, 2012) – Etienne Howan, Chairman and CEO of Air Tahiti Nui, today announced the expansion of its existing agreement with the Australian airline Qantas. This agreement relates to the further development of code sharing with Qantas, which initially commenced in 2000.

Starting in July, 2012, in addition to the existing code-share with Qantas that links Air Tahiti Nui flights from Papeete to Sydney, via Auckland, and between Los Angeles and Papeete. Air Tahiti Nui flights now will also link with Melbourne and Brisbane.

 “We are thrilled to announce the extension of our code-share relationship with Qantas”, said Mr. Howan. “It means that more Australian travellers will have easy access to Tahiti, a dream vacation destination, and that our local passengers will have more travel options when they visit Australia.

In addition, North American travellers will find it much easier to stopover in Tahiti on journeys to Australia.”

This new agreement further reinforces the route network and worldwide presence of Air Tahiti Nui. The airline presently code shares with Japan Airlines to Asia, Air New Zealand and Air France and TGV Air to Europe.
